I've been into them since "Twist and Shout".

My favorite song by them is "It's Your Thing", anyone else into these guys?

1. Not really but just heard a little bit of
"Its your thing" going into commercial break during the NBA Championship game. Did see Ernie Isley once and he wasn't horrible.

2. In 1959 they released the original version of 'Shout'. It's still being
played today. They do a kick ass version of Love the One You're With. They have another recording coming out in 2005.

That's a long time.

Along with the requisite hits--"Shout," "Twist & Shout," "This Old Heart of Mine," "It's Your Thing," "That Lady," "Fight The Power," et al--I also love a lot of Isley tunes that folks have either forgotten about or never heard before. Among them:

BEHIND A PAINTED SMILE
THE BLACKER THE BERRIE
BROTHER, BROTHER
CARAVAN OF LOVE (credited to Isley, Jasper, Isley)
DON'T SAY GOODNIGHT (IT'S TIME FOR LOVE)
FIRE AND RAIN (Yes, the James Taylor song!)
FREEDOM
GOT TO HAVE YOU BACK
HARVEST FOR THE WORLD
HELLO, IT'S ME (Yes, the Todd Rundgren song!)
I TURNED YOU ON
JOURNEY TO ATLANTIS
KEEP ON DOIN'
LAY AWAY
LOVE THE ONE YOU'RE WITH (Yes, the Stephen Stills song!)
MIDNIGHT SKY
MOVE OVER AND LET ME DANCE
POP THAT THANG
RESPECTABLE
ROCKIN' MacDONALD
SUMMER BREEZE (Yes, the Seals & Crofts tune!)
TAKE ME IN YOUR ARMS (ROCK ME A LITTLE WHILE)
TAKE ME TO THE NEXT PHASE
TAKE SOME TIME OUT FOR LOVE
TESTIFY
TIME AFTER TIME
TWISTIN' WITH LINDA
WORK TO DO

All in all, a fantastic group. Thank you, Isleys, for all the awesome music!

4. If you haven't already done so . . .
. . . check out the recent CD of Ron Isley singing Burt Bacharach tunes.

Enjoy!

6. What about...
'Machine Gun/Ohio' and 'Fight the Power'? You reckon they lefties?
