Showing Digital Photos on the Road--Question
I need to show clients the latest in my gardens. Trouble is, it's cumbersome to do printouts. I would like to show photos digitally but not on my notebook. Even that is too cumbersome. Are there any portable display units that I can show pictures on without waiting for a long bootup time?

The pic I display has to be large enough for people to see detail--like it has to be at least 5 x 8 inches on the screen.

1. Some data projectors will do that.
Some LCD projectors some with the ability to accept smartmedia memory chips. The one I've used before would take straight JPG files and project them in an automatic slideshow. You just project it onto the wall (as large as you want - within reason)

Some of those projectors have gotten awfully small and may be ideal for you.

Alternatively, I wonder if there aren't some cameras with an RCA output ability. You might be able to use the client's TV.

2. How about a portable DVD/CD player
They are smaller than a laptop or a note book.

4. VERY helpful
Thanks, you guys!

I'm investigating all of these options and if anyone's interested in the results, PM me. I'll be happy to share what I learn.

I'm interested to hear what other suggestions people might have.

On edit; I just dropped some photos onto a DVD-R and put it in my portable DVD player. Got an "unknown disc" message. "shrug:
