7. The lead singer Pat DiNizio was...
...the reform party candidate for U.S. Senate for New Jersey back in 2000.

2. Yes....is this a serious post? Sometimes it's hard to tell...
They were a NJ band who had a hit or two in the 80's. Behind The Wall of Sleep.....Blood and Roses....A Girl Like You...those were some of their songs. It was that post- REM jangly mainstream indie rock sound that always bubbled under the surface of being popular back then.

8. I liked their first major's LP
didn't care much for the followup and then lost track of them. I've heard they were pretty great in their early club days and maybe a decent early LP or two?

I saw them play in a small strip mall club that I don't think stayed open more than a year or two. They were kinda weak live - at that point. For a college radio type band the were way "rock star"

12. Saw 'em in 1994...............
at the NOLA House of Blues. They performed with some LOUD psychedelic-noise band called The Veldt. Pretty good show and I also got to spot Bill Murray lurking in the balcony!

14. Yeah, I liked 'em.
I don't know what they've been doing much in the 90's, but I have 3 old cassettes I'll occasionally pull out. When I get all depressed and gloomy, I like "Drown in My Own Tears" especially.
