Good Mews on the Kitten!

We just got back from the vet. Yes, Chamisa is a little girl kitten and she's in excellent health. They did a fecal, a blood panel and a general exam, tested for FIV, parasites, earmites and she's clean as a whistle! No diseases.

We're going to wait two weeks until she's a bit bigger (she's one pound three ounces) before we start her kitten shots. The vet agreed with out estimated age, so I'm setting her official birthdate as May 1st. So far, her milestones (after four days with us) are, her first car ride in a carrier (she mewed a bit, but accepted it) and her first vet visit (no fear, she was calm and other than hissing once at the vet, she was good as gold!). When she's large enough she'll get her first harness and leash, microchip and ID tags.

She's already $300.00 into our walle... er...our hearts! So far, so good. The Missus isn't having any allergy symptoms (keep those fingers crossed) and Chamisa is thriving.
