2. I saw a great article in the Chicago Sun Times
About the new band with Slash and Scott Weiland called Velvet Revolver. The reviewer said they take Rock-n-Roll back to where it was "before clowns like Nickelback" took over.

3. Have you heard the CD?
I've only heard the "Set Me Free" track from the Hulk movie, but like most people, I like the idea of Weiland fronting GnR.

I was one of the few people who actually preferred STP to the pretentious fuckers in Pearl Jam.

11. Here here
STP was way deeper than Pearl Jam. More talent and better songs, too.

Too bad drugs screwed up the band. Died before their time.

13. A little extreme?
Edited on Mon Jun-14-04 07:11 PM by leagalizeit
Comparing Bush to Hitler.

Not that I like having a power-hungry Bush and a viagra-laced Dick in office, I thought that's what got Bill in trouble?

But come on, Bush is no Nazi he is just an arrogant, misguided prick who has NO BUSINESS BEING IN OFFICE.

I especially like Fenris' quote because my father was in Bush's class('68) at Yale and has always said Bush was a mean drunk and an arrogant prick at school. While he was busy compiling that "C" average.

17. I'm sorry, there isn't a way to change usernames
However, with so few posts, it probably wouldn't hurt anything to just recreate it. I mean, create a new one.

20. You might try posting...
in the "Ask the Administrators" forum. They might have a way to change it, or they may let you re-register for a new one.

19. yes you have the right to be extreme...

lol, Katarina you sure do.
But tell me, what do Bush and Hitler have in common?
Bush has never killed anyone, as far as I know. Unless there was a hit-and-run drunk driving incident he got away with.

Save that, Hitler was guilty of mass-murder in the form of genocide. This is the worst crime any one person can commit, no?
Bush doesn't even come close, in my book.
And I can think of 1000 better ways to mock/define him than comparing him to Hitler--the biggest abomination of the past half of a millenium.

Please tell me what Bush and Hitler have in common.

21. Wellll
You may be right...there IS a difference between the two...Hitler was ELECTED!

However...your comparison between the two is wrong. Bush has killed MANY. My gosh, to read your post...Hitler killed all those Jews with his own bare hands. Bush has his own fair share of deaths...
Just ask the families of these people
Or these families

<snip>
Both men assumed power in defiance of the will of the majority;
both men used "great lies" to pursue their warmongering agendas;
both men preyed upon humanity's basest instincts to disseminate those "great lies";
both men were appeased by the British government, Hitler through Neville Chamberlain and Bush through Tony Blair;
both men were willing to use national tragedies to justify the destruction of civil liberties, Hitler through the burning of the Reichstag and Bush through the September 11th terrorist attacks;
both men were/are suspected of either participating in, or ignoring warnings about the imminence of, these tragedies in order to enhance their political stature and power;
both men demonstrated no compunction about exploiting a culture of death for political self-aggrandizement, Hitler through his well-publicized genocide campaigns, and Bush who, while governor of Texas, routinely denied DNA tests to death row inmates, even though such tests could prevent wrongful executions;
both men were willing to appeal to racism, Hitler through his quest for a "master race," and Bush through his condemnation of affirmative action policies, which primarily benefit racial minorities. While denouncing such policies as "preferential treatment," Bush predictably displayed no such aversion to the preferential treatment enjoyed by wealthy white people, like himself, through a system of nepotism and cronyism;
both men reveled in war and exploited the military to satiate their personal ambitions and vendettas;
both men used war to enrich their political cronies;
both men demonstrated contempt for international law and the concerns of the world community;
and both men believed they were/are on some holy crusade inspired by a "divine province" that placed them into power.
Found here

The end.

12. Nickleback completely sucks.
In Portugal they played at a Metal fest (I don't know why either)and they were booed off the stage in a hail of rocks and batteries before they could complete a song. Hats off to those in the crowd. Today's music, with few exceptions, is all cookie cutter, whiny, pussy bullshit in the mold of pussy whiners Nirvana and Pearl Jam who started that whole thing.

In the immortal words of Zakk Wylde: "Since when did being a pussy become cool?"
