1. Where do you live?
If you're not anti Wal Mart, they have internet service for 9.95 a month. Juno has cheap dial up too.

8. I use peoplepc.com

Call 1 (800) PEOPLEPC and see if they have local dialup numbers in your area.

Or online at http://www.peoplepc.com

You can download it and or order a CD.

Anyone know if the DCC is still offering a 6-month half-price special for peoplepc?

14. Tried both Juno and Netzero
A couple years ago I tried K Mart's Blue Light(JUNO) for about a month, since the first month was free at the time. From Monday through Thursday I got on line after several tries and would get cut off in just a few minutes. On weekends I couldn't get on line at all. In February this year I signed up for Netzero, after not being able to get on line for hours I called them back the same day to cancel. To make a long story short my credit card statement is messed up with so many credits and debits I don't know what is going on and I have been turned in to a collection agency, which they also own, wanting $14.95. The number they gave me to call about disputed claims gave me an address to write to. I wrote them a letter last week explaining what happened and I don't owe them anything and will not pay them. Anyway it's June now and this still hasn't been straightened out. I posted about this a while back and some people said they have had no problems with them. Apparently they don't carry enough access lines in this area of Eastern Ohio. So for now I am staying with my local dial-up company for $21.99, for about 8 years now I have never had any problem with it. Good luck!
