This website is something else
Edited on Mon Jun-14-04 08:17 PM by Scairp
As nearly as I can figure, it is an Indian site (in English mostly) about women's health, pregnancy and so forth. The pages regarding such things as choosing a wet nurse, conception and how to tell what gender your child will be are positively mediaevil. An example:

Determining the sex of the foetus

Female child

The woman whose
left body parts are more active,
has more sexual desire,
dreams or wants to eat more,
uses or has association of articles bearing feminine names,
possesses feminine habits and behaviour,
whose foetus (uterus) occupies more left situation in the abdomen and is not round in shape and
in whom the milk secretion appears first in left breast
the woman who has more interest in dance, instruments, songs, scents and garlands etc.

will deliver a Female child.

It is infuriating, that in this day and age some cultures still have the belief that is the woman's responsibility, and somehow she determines, what the sex of the fetus will be. Amazing. Anyway, on the left-hand side of the page is a menu to look up other things about pregnancy, conception and other issues. Read it for yourself. It's a hoot.

1. Kick
Women at least should read this. The thing about exposing your vulva to smoke after childbirth alone is worth it.

3. Well, this isn't exactly a scientific discipline they're promoting here
It's Ayurveda, very new-agey stuff. More here:

The Ayurvedic Institute, recognized as one of the leading Ayurveda schools and Ayurvedic health spas outside of India, was established in 1984 to teach and provide the traditional therapy of East Indian Ayurveda including herbs, nutrition, panchakarma cleansing, acupressure massage, Yoga, Sanskrit, and Jyotish (Vedic astrology).
