I have to share this call from a wingnut on the radio this morning.
On the way to work I was listening to the Trucking Bozo, it's a truckers show which is right leaning. The caller said he could remember when Reagan was inaugurated it was a rainy dreary day in Washington and when Reagan took the oath the sun came out from the clouds. Then he said barely keeping back the blubbering how with all the rain this week it's as though God was weeping over the loss of this great man.

1. Alternate Explanation

God was weeping that he'd be stuck with him now.

5. Here's a better one
Local wingnut radio host tried to spin Ron Jr.'s diss on Bush (about how his father was religious but he didn't base policy on it) by saying that when he was referring to Clinton and Carter.

Cause we all remember how those two bowed to the Religious Reich.

6. and what of the weather on the day of his second
inaugural. . .? If memory serves, it was so frigid the festivities had to be held indoors due to concerns of massive cases of frostbite, especially amongst the musicians. It was a freeze out.

I am ashamed to admit that at the time and like the trucker, I read great symbolism into that weather phenomenon.
