8. I've got two true horror stories about wedding music
At a friend's wedding the bride's father didn't like the groom and seemed especially hung up on the fact that he had been married before. The father got rather drunk, and when it was time for the dinner (it was an expensive wedding with a sitdown dinner) speeches, he got up and talked about how the bride had always liked to sing, and that one of her favorite songs had always been Second Hand Rose. Therefore, he was going to accompany her on the piano, and she was going to sing Second Hand Rose.

Those of us who knew the song gasped as the bride gamely got up to sing with this frozen grin on her face, as if she was thinking, "I am so going to kill you after I come back from my honeymoon." But she sang, and when she got to the line that should run, "Even Jake the plumber, he's the guy I adore, had the nerve to tell me he's been married before" she substituted another line.

It was painful to witness.

I heard the other true story from a former church choir director. He was talking with the couple about what music they wanted at their wedding, and they asked for Your Cheatin' Heart. Of course, he wanted to know why.

"That's the music that was playing on the jukebox when we met," they said.

I've also heard of people requesting Every Breath You Take, not realizing that it's about a vengeful stalker.

Anything off of the David Allan Coe album that was so naughty that only bootlegs exist. The one that does come to mind is:
