1. That's pretty damn funky!
I didn't know Talking Heads made funk, but I never really listened to them, just the few songs that they used to play on MTV.

3. maybe funk isnt the right word
that bassist is just so freakin SICK she needs a doctor ... STAT. Anyhoo, get some Heads if you havent heard 'em. Theres a lot more to them then "burning down the house." I saw a live performance on DVD and it made me a believer...

4. I've been burning my vinyl to MP3s
and the Talking Heads are amazingly strong. I have most of their albums - they are all good.

I was also impressed with the Pretenders. I really appreciate that album more after 25 years.

6. A portable Archos Recorder
plug the audio-in into the "tape monitor" output of your stereo.

Play the albums and record.

When you are done, plug the Archos into your computer's USB port. Upload.

8. I'm not big on Talking Heads as a band
It was a very good band, but I don't think the group was conceived or composed of true musicians. They were artists who decided to choose music as their medium. I congratulate them on their success and I like them. But they weren't "BORN" to rock, or anything great like that, as, for example, Stevie Ray.

9. Huge Talking Heads fan, here.
And if your lovin' the bass, check out "Slippery People" from Speaking in Tongues.

Same as it ever was...
