1st Infantry..Lai Khe 1965-66

Did you take R&R? Where did you go?

I did not...was planning on Thailand but took two 3 day passes instead. I managed to save beau coup p's

1. Yes...I went to Tokyo in October 1967

It was wonderful to feel some autumn weather after the stifling tropical heat of South Vietnam. Had a great time. Since I was stationed at Nha Trang and could go to the beach every day, the urban environment was a nice change.
