here's the snake I saw today
I took a snapshot of it with my digital camera. I used to catch and keep garder snakes as pets when I was a kid (though not big ones like this) but I don't like to even get too near them now.

12. I don't know of any
venemous snakes with those types of markings. The head looks like a garter snake head to me. I think the shape is more to do with the camera angle.

Anyway, if it didn't bite, it's a moot question.

15. It's a eastern garter snake
I live in northeastern nc and I see snakes all the time. I have a very good snake book and looked this one up and it had a perfect picture of your snake in it

17. I love snakes and at one time owned 2 boa constrictors..
Really great pets. They just got too big. I didn't have a problem with feeding them rats and mice, but when they got to the stage where they would be eating rabbits, I got them a new home.
