No, sorry, we're not. And that's the reason why I like DU- there are thousands of people with diverging opinions on several issues, yet with one common cause- ousting the boy king out of office. You want to tow a party line? Go to Free Republic.

So what if Kid A has yet to post any political threads? He's a relative newcomer here. It took me several weeks of lurking and a couple weeks in the lounge before I felt comfortable posting elsewhere. When the time comes, he'll contribute.

Lastly, this is idea of the lounge: to post leisurely or personal, or sometimes silly threads. God forbid we not post a political thread. You can't be "on" politically all the time or you'll crack.

Granted I've only been a member for about a month, but I felt comfortable posting right away. I know everyone here feels the same way I do about most issues, so I don't feel weird about speaking openly. I think it's awesome that there's a separate board for non-political conversations, because, like you said, if you think all politics all the time you'll go crazy, and it's easy for people to ignore the sillier threads if they want to stay on the issues. That's the beauty of the Internet: you don't have to read what you don't like.

But I did see a recent TV recap of his life after Star Wars. He's apparently happily married with kids. He's also kept busy with voice-overs & other work.

So, even if he didn't become a big star, he's doing pretty well.
