LA Lakers are a one man show, one and a half if you count Kobe
that's a quote from Michigan Governor Jennifer Granholm!

2. Yeah, I was just thinking the same thing
we really need more selfish egotistical maniacs winning stuff, instead of humble hardworking gentlemen who understand the concept of teamwork.

3. Humble?????????????????
That word CANNOT be used to describe ANY professional basketball player!

4. Umm, Yeah

We'll see how much of the 'humble hardworking gentlemen' stuff sticks when their contracts come up for renewal (or they demand renegotiation due to their enhanced status).

Come on now, these people are millionaires and they are out for what the market will bear.

That's not a criticism, it's just reality.

5. See, when you win, you get to gloat
The losers have to sit back and take it.

Being a Blazers fan I don't much like it, but I understand that's how it is. Anything the Pistons fans want to say just has to be swallowed by Laker fans. Even Laker fans.

Hey, maybe the League will rig the draft lottery again so the Lakers don't have to be down for too long after they miss the playoffs next year.

9. Naaaah

Just look on in amusement.

Enjoy it while it lasts.

When you've won three championships in a row, then one can gloat.

The Lakers got to the finals without a healthy, league-class power forward and were beaten by a faster, younger, healthier, better-balanced, better coached (for the talent) team.

All good, even great, things come to an end.

7. I forgot about the bet! Ahh-nuld will soon be wearing pasties
uh, er, eating pasties, a kind of meat pie so popular in Michigan's U.P. that "trolls" (people who live under the bridge :-) ) drive all the way up there and take back a few dozen.

Der Gropenfuhrer will be washing down his pasties (and crow) whith -- what else? -- Vernor's, with some yummy chocolate-covered Michigan cherries to top it off, all while wearing a (super-sized for steroids) Pistons jersey!! :bounce:

8. Ah, Vernor's! Michigan's finest termite piss!
A former boss was from Michigan and she loved that stuff. Her son called it termite piss.

11. I can only assume that he actually tasted some....
...I also assume the comparison was not a flattering one, but then again, maybe he was praising Vernor's!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
