1. A great idea for a poll BUT!

you forgot to add "Joe" (the 3rd Stooge between Shemp and Curly Joe)!
I don't mean to be critical or anything but you cannot leave out any stooge, no matter how poor he fit in!

Sorry for bringing it up but when it comes to diplomatic protocal then indeed I must say I identify with the Stooges...

Because I'm such a self-imposing bastard I believe I hijacked Delano's thread and therefore basically killed it. Just do everybody (well me at least) a favor and vote for your favorite third stooge, OK?

By the way, how about Officer Joe Bolton? He kept my pyromaniac grade-school ass out of trouble, he did!

My old man knew him. He hung out with some of the local Philly entertainment and broadcast people; he had been a Close Personal friend of Julie London, a popular torch singer before Elvis hit town, and grew up with Mario Lanza. He said Joe was a stand-up guy. And that I better treat cops like Officer Joe with respect or he'd make jail look like a vacation.

Shemp had his moments, but the rest of them were just stealing Curly's act.

9. I think Shemp was the most underrated of the stooges.

I always laughed at the way he would pretend to choke on something and slap himself in the back of the head while making little noises. I couldn't stand either of the Joe's.

10. A few facts about Curly

Did'ja know that:

He was Moe's brother.

He was quite the ladies' man. He used to take dives off of the pier at Coney Island just to attract a crowd of women around him thinking that he had hurt himself.

He enjoyed hunting. While out in the woods one day he shot himself in the foot. The circumstances were never fully explained.

Before he became the Curly we all love, he had a full head of hair that he was very proud of (he thought it was his best feature). The producer of their shorts made him shave his head before he go the job. Sent him into a depression.

He died on my birthday, January 18, 1952. Which is why (I claim) that I'm not wrapped too tight.
