Was it a girl's house? hehe

Michelle and I went bowling (where I did karaoke. oh. my. gosh. I will just say that I was forced because of circumstances out of my control) then we went and hung out a friend's house on campus.

There were 7 or 8 guys including me and 1 girl who was already taken. Which reminds me I didn't see that one girl I was telling you about last friday. :(

Did you win and what did you sing? Karaoke can be fun! :D

No winning anything lol. Just cheers and total embarassment. I butchered Joan J's "I Love Rock 'N Roll" (though not half as bad as Britney did I hope). *smacks forehead* I should lay off the alcohol.

23. Well
I don't know her number, I didn't get to talk to her that much last week when I saw her. Oh well, I probaly won't see her again for another year. Don't be embarrassed about anything, whenever I am worried about doing something that might embarrase myself I just always think to myself it won't mean a thing 400 years from now or even 40 years from now. lol that reminds me of last night. Me and the other guys were playing the vg Need For Speed:Underground under the influence, that was fun. :)

Well, everything happens for a reason so if you're meant to, you'll see her again! :D

Trust me, I'm not beating myself up about it. I was dancing like a complete fool the entire night and even while I tried to bowl. The funny thing is, when you look like you're having a blast, either people 1)laugh at you or 2)want to be there with you. :D It's interesting.

28. Maybe
I got a question for you, I hope you don't mind. What has led you to believe things happen for a reason? Just curious because I've heard that all my life and I'm not even sure if that's the case.

How does a complete fool dance? Sorry I'm just trying to picture what the scene was like. :) What was the general reaction of the other people there?

30. This might get long.
My trip to Panama City in March was the PERFECT example. The deal was me and my friend Michelle were going to ride down in my brand new '99 Altima I just got a week and a half before we left. We were to come back on Wednesday (we got down there on Saturday) since we both had to be at work (and we were following her parents down there and they were staying until that next Sat.)

My new insurance for my car was set up and something was wrong - I had it suspended because of absenses from school that I didn't even know about (it had apparently been suspended for a year but since I'm 18 now, it didn't matter). So I had to go to the DMV the DAY BEFORE we left for the trip. I didn't know for suspended licenses you have to have an appt. so we had to wait for 4 HOURS that day and I was the LAST person to get mine reinstated because thankfully someone didn't show up for their appt. The DMV closed at 4:30, I got my license at 4:20. Then I had to call the insurance place (they closed at 5) to give them my new license number so everything was okay and my insurance was started. I called them at 4:40.

We left at about 3AM Saturday morning and drove forever then stopped for breakfast at about 7 or 8. Something told me to kick my tires to check them. So I did. Not TWO hours after, my left front tire blew out. We all had to pile in Michelle's parent's car. I ended up totalling the car (not my fault) and we got to stay through Saturday. I met Him (not God, my man) on the Sunday we got down there and had the most amazing week with him. Had it not been for me getting my license when I did, I would've been in big trouble with the cops and had no insurance. Had it not been for the wreck, I wouldn't have had the experiences and memories I have from Spring Break. And had it not been for staying with my guy for a week, I wouldn't be experiencing a lot of the things I have now. And had it not been for him, I wouldn't be so passionate about helping our service members overseas (it's not that I didn't want to before, but it never hit home).

So trust me, EVERYTHING happens for a reason.

38. So basically good or bad right?
In your case it was good. I have a suspended license as well. (It was suspended at 15 (I never operated a car at the time) and the reason was unrelated to operating a motor vehicle or anything like that) I don't know, I have had some things in my life go my way but alot of bad things as well. Imo alot has to do with the choices you make like you skipping school probaly none of this would've happened.

40. But it did.
And THAT'S the point. Had it not been for you skipping classes, your maturity level wouldn't be where it is now. You've LEARNED from things and you're a better person because of it.

It had nothing to do with skipping classes(well it had a little effect). It was definately the experiences I went through in 2001(started skipping in 2002), I definately went through a lot (you have no idea) in one single year. That was both my best and one of the worst year of my life if that makes since. That is when in my mind I really matured. But I do understand what your saying, but the way I look at it. I wouldn't of gone all through that if it wasn't for a few simple and a few major choices I made.

50. You wouldn't have gone through some of it.
But eventually other things would've happened and you'd have had different obstacles to go through. You can't just pick what happens in your life.

Going home after work, taking a nap, going to look at an apartment, then going to a baseball game. You?

Minor? Major? Little League? College? Other?

I'm taking a nap as soon as you leave and then I'm going to lift. See if someone comes by.(he wanted me to get him a Placement Services form) Then pretty much like everyday just look for something to do, I or none of my friends don't plan anything. I need to look into getting an apartment as well but I need a job first. :silly:

The pitcher just broke some kind of record I believe. I don't get to go too often, but my friend Michelle and my roommate Brittany both work at the ballpark so I go whenever I have the chance. Most games fall on nights that I have other stuff going on.

Basically the ONLY attraction here is Chicago Cubs spring training at Hohokam which is about 6-8 blocks from here. I never did get a chance to go, the first game I went to was Dbacks vs Reds and that was only to see my favorite player Griffey. But he leaves the game in the 4th inning w/a stomach virus which pretty much blew my day.

Their best Rockies' team ever was the 1997 one and they finished in third place in their divison. Interesting thing though, I still have a tape of a game from YEEEEAAAARRRSSS ago vs Atlanta. I think Colorado won on a 9th inning rally, there was also a rain delay that game as well.

this has been going on since I was 10. I've learned to deal with it. No sense in going to a doctor, they avoid giving me prescriptions for some reason. I must look like a junkie or something! :P Besides that, I wouldn't want to take the chance of getting addicted to whatever it is they're pushing this week.
Problem now is I'm a night owl working the day shift! I'll eventually crash and make up for the lost sleep.
Gotta go, see ya all later!

My dad is one of those "I'll be your dad when it's convenient for me." types.

What about you? Looking forward to fatherhood one of these days?

59. Not likely
I missed that window, but I can be a good kid's soccer coach. When I'm finally too old to play, I'll coach. Preferably U-12 and up, once they're old enough to play on the full-size field.

That's really awesome that you want to coach though. :D

65. I'm older
that is, I'm way over 25. Those diaper changing, kid chasing years are probably best you're young. 'Sides, I enjoy my freedom and flexibility way too much. A friend of mine is about to have her first (she's 32), and she and her boyfriend are busy career and travel types. They're on the road or plane roughly 3 out of 6 weekends traveling somewhere. I wonder how ready they are to cut the travel once they become parents.

67. That's understandable.
It just seems to me (even though I don't know you really well) that you would get alone great with kids. I definitely want to do the travel thing before I start a family. It's going to be interesting to see how they react to the changes. I mean, they don't have to stop completely, just adapt.

73. That's kind of you

I'm planning a run to New Orleans in July, and just found out another set of travel friends are with child (I'm swearing you to secrecy ), so they probably aren't gonna go.

Travel when you're young, travel when you aren't young, just go.

I'm fine, as are my family and friends.

The world and country are in trouble, but they've been for the past four years.

78. I watched Monster
Edited on Thu Jun-17-04 07:56 AM by Parrcrow
Astonishingly good performances by both Charlize Theron and Christina Ricci. It was a definite downer of a movie and Mrs Crow found it a bit distressing but I would recommend it highly. We also rented Mystic River. Looking forward to more misery tonight.

83. I had read Roger Ebert's review way back last fall
He said that he thought Charlize Theron gave the best performance by an actress that he had ever seen. That quite the endorsement!

She plays a bizarre character; an utter sociopath who has no redeeming qualities whatsoever yet who is nevertheless quite compelling. She's also in virtually every scene in the film.

check it out.

I've just, like you said, heard it's depressing. Maybe I'll wait for a night when I can handle it. Glad to hear your good review of Monster. I might have to check it out.

84. We decided not to do both movies in one night
I like to think that we can appreciate both, but why wallow in misery?

it works better on the installment plan.
