School Superintendent Paid For Employee Strip Show - Chippendales
<snip>

COVINGTON, Ky. -- Schools Superintendent Jack Moreland thought a little strip tease would be a good morale booster for his female employees. He may rethink the idea next year.

The women workers loved watching buff boys take it off, but at least one person was ticked off after Moreland shelled out $420 to send 20 female staff members to a Chippendales show.

An anonymous letter to the state Office of Education Accountability accused Moreland of using school-district funds to pay for the strip show.

Moreland said he spent $420 of his own money for the show -- and faxed his personal credit-card receipt to investigators.

2. Yup! That's exactly how it works.
Amazing isn't it? You just gotta love minority rule.

3. Well, at least he didn't have the strippers on school property.
At least he paid out of his own pocket.

*I* wouldn't have done it, and it probably wasn't very smart, but this will cause more problems than it solves with the staff of that school. I bet they're more divided now.

4. His own money? So what's the problem?
Sounds like a great idea.

6. WHAT WILL WE TELL THE CHILDREN?!?!?!?

Tell them that Mom is tired of looking at Dad's sorry ass sitting there watching TV and that Dad should really stop flipping over to the Fitness Channel and Univision when he thinks no one is in the room.

5. Why won't my boss take me to a strip club?
I'd probably be a more productive worker the next day. I think I'll ask her.

7. A coupla thoughts

  • His paying for it with his own credit card doesn't mean he didn't expense it. He's the superintendant, dammit!

  • How does this lift morale? What does he do for male teachers?

  • Why is everyone so upset about $420? It's not like that would have made much of a dent in the serious need for more teachers, more books, better facilities, etc., that just about every school district has.
