Yet another local bar can go fuck themselves...
Just found out that all of our gigs at Kildare's in West Chester and King of Prussia have been cancelled. They're going to almost all DJs and a band once a month. They want "bigger bands". Translation: "interchangeable cover bands that all play the exact same crap, and cost a lot more, which is money we could save by turning on the radio, because it's the exact same fucking thing".

In conclusion, fuck them. Don't go there. Go to Rex's in West Chester tomorrow night instead! :)

4. No.
They moved the entire thing downstairs, and put a Burrito Loco and Papa John's up top. Not even sure if they have live music anymore. The vibe is completely gone.

2. The KoP Bar Scene
The place has never been that good for live music, since 1980 at least. There's no such thing as a "watering hole" in King of Prussia -- only theme bars for yuppies to either network in or find hook-ups.

It's a shame about the West Chester venue, though.

In the mid-80s, guys like Kenn Kweder and Bob "Beru" McCaffrey went out on their own initiative during the day and wheedled bar owners into booking their bands, their friends' bands, their familys' bands, and a couple of comedians, too. The music scene in Philly seems to be in the same kind of doldrums these days.

5. "Doldrums" is right...
It's getting to be that bands don't even get any kind of guarantee anymore. Just one interchangable cover band after another.
