I need vegan help! -- shoes

Okay I'm an ovo-lacto vegetarian and have been for about 10 years. I do eat fish maybe once a year and shellfish once or twice a year.

Anyway, is there any non-leather alternative for dress shoes? I'm trying to get off of leather for casual shoes, and that's much easier, but dress shoes for work have to look pretty good. I'm not trying to make a statement, just ease my concience.

Also belts!

4. Vegan Cat Food?

One of the products offered is vegan cat food, which I assume is meatless. Is such a diet nutritionally complete for a cat? I heard they needed taurine, otherwise they go blind.

... dogs do not have a dietary requirement for taurine, since they can make it out of vitamin B and the amino acids methionine and cysteine. Cats cannot do this; as true carnivores, they require dietary taurine.

Deficiencies can occur in dogs and cats fed vegetarian diets, as taurine (or the precursors for taurine) is present in meat but not in vegetables ...
