3. Let me say that I have 3 Ani records, have seen her live....
and I enjoy her work.

But she's definitely one of those artists who kinda does suck, but I like them despite the suckiness.

As a friend described her, she's like a parody of every folk singer crossed with Phoebe from friends.

6. I'll agree with a poster
on another Ani thread that she could probably stand to slow down a little and regroup, compost some new material. The most recent discs haven't matched up to the older ones, really since "Living in Clip" for my money. But still, Phoebe? No, no.

The first time we saw Ani was in 1994 - no band, just her and the acoustic in a bar in Decatur, GA, packed with 300 lesbians, my wife and myself. Never in my life heard a better live show.
