I am so excited----A new stove!!!
My SO just called to inquire if I would like a new stove. He came across a deal when purchasing an appliance for a rental property of ours. I have been living with a beat up old thing with mystery oven temperatures and only 3 working burners.

The new one is self cleaning, has a warming drawer and a convection oven. It is electric so it is still not perfect but I have become use to working with electric stoves so it does not suck too bad.

I am just so excited

It will be delivered tomorrow. What should I bake.

2. We got a new stove few months ago
And a new toilet to replace the ancient stained one that never looked clean. It was pathetic how excited I was about the toilet.

Are you a good baker?

7. I am a good baker
My favorite cake to bake is Pecan banana Carmel.

I have to tell you though that I can relate about the toilet. Mine is semi-contraband and I took it with me when I moved as I couldn't bare to put up with the low-flow stuff they can only sell now. I know it's wasteful but it's one of my only vices. I'll be sad when it needs to be replaced.

4. That's truly a reason to celebrate!
My oven element broke in half, burned clear through, last year and since this occurred in an underemployed household, read ITer roll-off w/80% income loss now on a six-month REAL gig, it'll be a while before a new one shows up. Did you know it's equally expensive to buy a new one or to replace that part on a 16 yr old range - so, once the car is fixed, the house caught up, the utilities on track...oh, never mind. I'm really counting my blessing and, knock on wood, because I long ago spent big bucks to get a large-size convection/microwave (they were more expensive then than now) and it works fine for small casseroles and muffins though I miss broiling. Glad it's the season to grill out. Congratulations and remember, it's not really self-cleaning - you've got to throw the latch and push/turn the clean button.

While we're on the subject of ovens, my daughter's doggie is in the doghouse this week because he was being nosey about what was in the pot and turned on the gas flame burner while everyone was busy (the knobs are on the front). It's lucky they caught things in time and the house didn't explode or burn down. BAD DOGGIE!!!!

5. Congratulations
Too bad its self cleaning because Night Train loves cleaning ovens.

If you want to put the new stove to good use make some brownies. We need a good sized batch of DU Lounge brownies.:hippie:

6. I know how you feel exactly.
i finally bought a really good dishwasher after years and 3 different houses with builders grade crapola. I spent the money and got a Bosch, felt like i got a whole new kitchen. Enjoy, since you will have convection you can cook more faster!
