Playahata health update.
Edited on Thu Jun-17-04 09:09 PM by playahata1
Today I got the results of my second CAT scan for cervical cancer -- and the news is ALL GOOD: NEARLY EVERYTHING that was there when I was first
diagnosed in January is GONE. All thanks and praise is due to the Creator. There are a couple of small problem areas remaining, and this coming Tuesday my oncologists will meet with an interdisciplinary team
(oncologists, radiologists, OB-GYNs, etc.) to discuss my case and any possible actions (more chemotherapy, radiation, surgery, or leave it alone and see what happens) for those problem areas. Those options will
be put before me before my next scheduled visit.

I have been feeling quite well physically the last 2-3 weeks, so I KNOW something is working. Thanks for all your prayers and good vibes and best wishes. We are not completely out of the woods yet, so please keep
them coming. Peace.

This whole winter/spring/almost-summer has certainly been an emotional (for my family as well as for me) as well as physical roller coaster. I view this whole episode as a test to see how strong I am, and so far I am passing. I told myself early on that I was going do keep the faith and do what I needed to do to beat this thing. I was not going to sit around and trip (cry) over this. I have the rest of my life to live, disease be damned.
