do most DU'ers have more than one identity on DU?

I just came across a cituation where i wanted to give info to someone but not have it be associated with amerikat.

Some of us have changed screen names at some point. I started out as Dofus, and after over a thousand posts decided it didn't suit me, and switched to SheilaT (which is my real first name and middle initial). A few others have done something similar, but not very many. And if very many regularly post under more than one identity, I hadn't been aware of it.

I know sometimes a user will create an ID for satire, like "Newspaperman Matt Drudge", but in general, it's a kind of evasion.

If you find yourself in situations where you feel the need to hide your identity, you're probably doing something to get yourself in trouble. You could always field your dilemma to your friends in the Lounge, or in Ask The Administrators.
