4. I've made a few pot holders

on a plastic loom.. Does that count? Some have survived 25 years of heavy use.

6. was there any other purpose to those dumb kits?

I mean, they'd show pictures of folks wearing vests made out of that stuff, but who would wear it??

Actually, I think the purpose of the kit was "get your kid to shut up for 20 minutes," because my grandmother had one and that's exclusively what it was used for when we were over.

7. YES, I have 3 looms and belong to the florida tropical weaver's

guild. I weave mostly household items--rugs, placemats, table runners. Recently though I dyed some warps and wove some very pretty scarves. These things make great gifts.

9. I Used To, But Lost My Loom In A Move.

Granted it was only a medium sized large tabletop loom, but I loved it so... One move, they dropped a huge box on top of the carton it was in and Goodbye!

I have never been able to replace it and that grieves me. I wish I had a loom now!
