Update on husband with the three week old fractured leg
Good news. He does not need to do anything and no surgery. He will have to use crutches for three weeks and then have another Xray

He borrowed a pair of crutches from neighbors who had a pair in their barn for at least fiftenn years when one of them slipped on the ice and broke her leg.

Up until now, he has been using a cane--although I borrowed a walker for the first week from another neighbor.

Thank you all for your concerned posts.

We are planning a nice trip somewhere in our travel van--maybe to Canada or, maybe west of the Mississippi--we have not seen any of those states, because these past weeks have been very stressful as well as causing some heavy duty reflection as to what is important in this life.

We travel cheap in this ten year old Coach HOuse. I hate to admit it, but we do take advantage of the Wal Mart parking areas and only stay in campgrounds about once a week.

Thanks again to all who are so kind.

1. I am glad he is OK. That is the important thing.
I am glad it isn't going to cost you a fortune too!

Have a great vacation! :hi:

2. How's your other husband?
Sorry, it reminded me of a joke regarding a man with a bum leg.

5. I was thinking of "I met a man with a wooden leg named Smith"

reply: "what was the name of his other leg."

Old and corny, but when I read "Update on my husband with the three week old fractured leg" that was the first thing to pop into my mind.
