How do you keep a homemade hamburger from slipping/falling apart?
Is the trick just to toast the buns?

Thanks.

Massage a slice of bread or two and an egg into the ground round.

4. I didn't make myself clear. My bad.
I mean the meat and toppings slipping out from between the buns, or the the buns falling apart.

Thanks.

5. If you mean that the bun gets too mushy from your juicy hamburger, then
all you need is a thin, thin, thin coating of mayo on the inside of each half of the bun. This will create a truly waterproof seal..! That's what I learned from Alton Brown on the food network, and he's right!

9. Pre-make the patties
then, layer them between wax paper and lightly freeze them, just to the point of making ice crystals. When you place them on the hot grill, let them cook for a few minutes before turning. That should do fine. I hate eggs and bread in my burgers.

12. Rap it in parchment paper or wax paper
open up an edge and eat. Slowly unwrap as you go. This also keeps the stuff from getting all over the carpet.
