Poll question: Most Annoying Movie Actor
Edited on Sun Jun-20-04 12:36 AM by Delano
Someone whose performances are the equivalent of nails on chalkboard, so that you can't bring yourself to attend even their popular/well-reviewed films.

Preferably a very popular one...

6. He was supposed to be annoying in that.
He seems to relly like doing annoying characters. I actually liked "Zoolander", although "Dodgeball looks a bit cringe-inducing...

4. The reason for Zeta-Jones' inclusion...
...may not be so apparent to those living outside Japan.

The last couple of years I lived ther (1999~2000) There was a commercial for "Lux Super Rich Shampoo" that she appeared in. She walked through some sumptiously appointed ballroom wearing a glorious princessy gown, and as she passes the grand mirror, she pauses, gazes at her own fabulous beauty, slo-mo flips her hair, and sumgly says to herself "LUX! Super Rich." Oh, I can't tlell you how annoying that oft-repeated commercial was.

I always called it the "Lux Super Bitch" commercial.

(end of rant)

10. Overrated yes...
Both of them have mostly bored more than annoyed me.

Okay, Affleck is annoying. There's a spoiled suburban-kid quality to his acting that annoys....

11. Other: Stallone
He can't act and he takes himself too seriously. Given a choice between Stallone or Schwarzenegger, I'll take Schwarzenegger pic every time. (Can I still say that and get away with it around here?) At least Arnold knows where the joke is.

13. Don't worry.
As long as you're around, I'll be so distracted with annoyance from you that I'll never get a chance to focus on my own annoying traits. Thanks for caring.

And if you don't agree with me, you're ugly!!!!

Lovely. A person with a sense of humor would think you're just kidding, but *I* know that you are DEGRADING those who disagree with you based on their looks.

Better get to work on those issues.

It was obviously tongue-in-cheek. You left out the smiley.

Is that you, Sean?

21. I cut and pasted. The smiley didn't come through...
But even without it it would have been obvious to any sane person that your post was tongue-in-cheek, as is the case with my "annoying" polls tonight. If they were serious, I would've said "Which actor/musician do you HATE". I don't know what kind of bug is up your butt, but I'm tired of discussing this with it.

And I have no idea who "Sean" is.

23. Quite a few: Jim Carrey, Adam Sandler, Ben Affleck, Renee Zellweger, and
others.

Not that I haven't enjoyed movies that featured each of them, all the same.

I've always found Jim Carrey particularly annoying and unfunny but finally saw The Truman Show recently and thought it was excellent. Also saw Eternal Spotless Sunshine Of The Insane Mind (ir whatever it's called) at the movies and want to see Man On The Moon.

Ditto Adam Sandler, who seems almost entirely unfunny, but I recently saw The Wedding Singer and quite liked it.

Ben Affleck's also done some good stuff but I don;t think he's a good actor and he projects an air of smugness...or...something (not even sure what it is) that gets to me, and not in a good way.

Renee Zellweger also just kinda annoys me, though she's been in some excellent films and can great in her roles. Still, a tad annoying.

And then there's J-Lo....
