7. you'd be surprised what gets put into cat and dog food
and what gets fed to the beef & pork & chicken that American's consume.

Cats, dogs, horses, cows, pigs, chickens. They are forced to practice canabilism. It's disgusting. That's how mad cow disease started to spread. They'd grind up the cows not fit for human consumption and feed them to the cows. That's classic meat industry genius.

3. yes
and it should also be illegal for the beef industry to make dead cattle into cattle feed (which is also mixed with rotten candybars from the candy industry by the way, among other things).

So don't just worry about the cats.

5. Oh Yea....
That is why I've mostly given up eating red meat ( 'cept for biskets and gravy on rare occasions), and will likely drop poltry from the diet as well. I'm aware of the tranmission of CJD and other like problems that result from the wide spread practice here in the US of feeding offel to our domesticated prey speices.

Putting cat meat in cat food is IMAO insane, and should be banned. Just as it should for our meat supply.

9. it is illegal
to feed cattle byproducts to cattle. However, as I've said repeatedly, there is a small local farmer/rancher near you trying to survive by producing a more natural alternative. Help him/her out and you don't have to give up healthy delicous red meat, or poultry for that matter. The chain on this is long - healthy farms, healthy families, healthy watersheds, open space, etc etc....you, as the consumer have a responsibility in the chain.

16. That does sound like a great idea, cycle of life and all that
much better than having the body consumed by flames. I would like to think that after its death one of my pets lives on through other animals.

15. Even rabbits sometimes practice cannabilism

Jefferson County sheriff's deputies were called to the property after a boy hired as temporary help found a number of dead and dying animals, including several rabbits feeding off rabbit carcasses.

8. I always wondered about the flavor called "Kitty Stew"
They recently changed it to "Kitty's Stew," but before that apostrophe-s, my cat was quite suspicious about what was in it.

10. "Mad Cow" disease came about by putting bits of cow into cow food.
Hasn't anybody learned a thing?!?!

Our greed kills everything it involves.
