You know, before their lead singer was a Republican.

9. Sammy Hagar.
He donated $2000 to the Bush campaign last year and even made a couple of donations to California Congressman Dana Rohrbacher.

11. This should be a separate post, but...
...does it bother you (although you're listening to a DLR-led album) when "artists" you like are R? Actors/athletes/singers?

Just curious - I try & separate it...

14. I used to be able to separte it..
..but no more. If I find out <insert artist here> is a right winger, I stop buying their product.

19. back in the day...

I remember seeing Ted Nugent, Scorpions and some other stupid ass band (the rockets?).. and I really enjoyed the Ten fingers of doom.. Loved the long, droning rendition of Stranglehold, had a good time with Wangdang sweet poontang...

But I hate the Nuge now.. even if I wanted to, i wouldn't listen to him now...

It's ok. Ritchie Blackmore always kicked his ass as a guitar player anyway. ;-)

Where it hurts the most is with the Neil Young revelation... He supported REAGAN.. oh man, that hurts, cuz I love old Neil.... He's always been my man... But he's redeemed himself.

21. Funny.
I never would have thought that Neil Young supported Reagan. At least he does not support Bush now. That would be worse.

But seriously, Neil Young supported Reagan? I would never believe it unless I saw it. He did not seem like much of a Nixon fan, if you listen to the song "Ohio" by CSN&Y.

18. Sometimes.
It can be a turnoff. I still have Watched Frasier despite Kelsey Grammer being Republican, though it irritated me some. I even listen to some Montrose, solo Hagar and even Van Hagar albums sometimes. I really liked "Right Now" and various other songs by that incarnation though that incarnation had more of a tendancy to be lame sometimes whereas DLR was awesome.

Now Ted Nugent I would not even touch with a ten foot pole. Same with Toby Kieth.

13. Sammy Hagar always did suck...
Edited on Sun Jun-20-04 11:55 PM by WillW
The little red rocker was always a little red wannabe. Even with Montrose.

Van Halen's first album was their best, hands down. Runnin' with the Devil was always my favorite. Jami's Cryin' was the whiniest thing I've ever heard, but the album is still their best...! =)

Gah. I have tried to sublimate it, but every once in a while, it comes back to me. Like now.

Always throwing that lap steel at me. Scared hell out of me.
