1. that scene was filmed not far from where I am
Down near Mobile. Actually it's about 200 miles away. But in the same state. Wish I'd been there, but it probably wouldn't have looked nearly as interesting as it does in the movie. :)

I like the movie for the most part, but I can't get over the fact the Richard Dreyfuss character abandons his kids to go off into space with aliens for what, years? Yeah, I know it's only a movie, but that bugs me. It's like its ok to abandon your family if you get a better offer.

Ok, I go to bed now.... :boring:
