Hoorah!!! we're in the quarter finals, and we play the hosts, Portugal, who haven't exactly looked shit hot.

And it looks like Wayne Rooney is a national hero, even if he is 3 months younger than me and looks like Shrek's love child. Still 4 goals in 3 games is amazing for an 18 year old.

I was really hoping that England would play Greece. I am half Greek and I work with lots of Brits. That would be fun. Portugal could win that game. England always loses big games in weird ways.

My nearby pub backed out, got sticker shock and wouldn't buy the package. The other 3 places that will show it are always packed. Maybe some pub will buy in the final matches, I hope. :shrug:

4. Well i watched it in one of my uni bars

Can fit about 400 people, atmosphere is quality when England score,lets hope we can beat Portugal, we can but i reckon we can just as easily lose on some fluke goal or penalty shoot out. OR they could just out play us. :)

5. You have the advantage

in the US, unless you live in the right area, very few pubs will get the pay-per-view games package. My place is packed Friday and Saturday, and steady during the week, so I know that they can make back the money. Problem is, they were trying out being a football sports bar and showing the EPL matches, but they started near the end of the season and didn't develop a fan following. That's why they got scared about showing Euro 2004.

7. On the subject of Rooney

walking through the uni at 3am last night with some girl i had pulled there were 5 guys with no underwear or trousers shouting 'Rooney' and flashing their knobs, twas amusing.

Seriously though he is an impressive player, 18 with 4 goals under his belt, thats some achievement at this level.

Btw poor Italy going out without losing, score in the 93rd minute and thinking they have gone through only to find the other game was 2-2.

Group C finished with 3 teams on 5 points.
