Now that I can play a half-decent B-flat on the ukulele,
I've found a new chord to hate, E.

Owwwww!

2. Fret the "2-3-4" part with a flattened ring finger...

So much easier to play (at least on a guitar, anyway).

Edit: Congrats on the B flat!

3. That's a little teeny-tiny neck to try that on
even if I do have little fingers to match.

5. Do a double barre...
Use your index finger to flatten the strings on the second fret. Then use your middle finger to flatten the first three on the fourth, lifting your knuckle up ever so slightly to allow the fourth string to remain fretted on the second fret. :D Confusing, I know.

6. Actually, I sometimes do that
depending on my next chord. A double barre makes it a little easier to jump to an A, for example. (E - A - E - B7 is a real common progression.)

8. Just tune it to an open chord...
leaves you a lot more time for drink and drugs.
works for me...

9. No drink or drugs for me, unfortunately,
which leaves me lots of free time to master painful chords.

10. I have an ukulele too!
In fact, I just found it yesterday when I was doing some cleaning in the storage room. I haven't played it since I left Hawaii when I was 12 though.
