I'll be on a date! With the guy I mentioned last month! Date #3...

It's also his birthday on Saturday so I'm wondering what I ought to get him (apart from the obvious, O8) ...) Pity he won't be around for the Pride festival, but he might be on Sunday. Maybe a dinner date on Sunday...?

1. May I make a suggestion?
It's still early. Get him something simple and inexpensive as a gift. Books are always good.

Good luck with this fellow. He's a lucky man!

2. What are his political views?
I think that the book suggestion is excellent, since you don't yet know him that well. But you must have touched on his political views by now. "The Best Democracy Money Can Buy" by Greg Palast is out in a new edition with additional information. And, of course, anything by Will Pitt is always a great read, LOL!:D

Glad to hear that things are going so well for you. :hi:

3. Not sure...
His ad originally said "middle of the road" politically but he had changed his ad 3 weeks ago to say "way left".

Makes things a bit easier... :D

5. I would suppose that this would make things easier
I once had a friend who was in just your position and, though the guy he liked was a Democrat, I warned him to not say things, initially, as we do on DU, because that might scare anybody until they get used to it, LOL!:D

4. Don't go over board with the gift
But I'm very happy you have a date.

How are you feeling? The other day you said you were kinda crappy.
