Need help. Anyone familiar with ShareYourExperience.com????
I've been getting these e-mails from this place. I joined briefly (for about 20 minutes) to try to see what the hell people were posting, but couldn't. The information and opinions are passed back and forth through e-mails. Normally I wouldn't be concerned about this crap, but it looks like employers and prospective employers may be doing this stuff, and you can never find out what they're saying (although this e-mail makes it sound like you can). So you don't know if this poster is bad mouthing or slandering (since it's printed I suppose it's libel) anyway, it's all anonymous and the website tells you that they are complete legal and there's not a damn thing that you can do about it.

I would be grateful for any info on this I can get. The rest of this is the e-mail I was sent telling me someone else was looking for information on me. And one answer infers that the info being provided in someone with a current professional 'relationship'.

1. Scam
Come on, you know this is a scam.

They say, "someone's whispering about you, pay us to seem what it is."

It's a way to get money from the gullible.

2. Yeah, I'm sure that there's some scam to it, but I found two answers to
searches and they actually have replied to these posters. You can send them a private message if you pay to upgrade the membership. I already cancelled the one I put in, a bronze (for low income people, yes that is exactly how it is described). But without paying their dues, you can't contact the people doing the search or the respondents. Like I said, what bugs me is that some of the relationships, were were platinum and gold members (expensive) were notated as PROFESSIONAL, one current.

There is no way to counteract bad info if you can't find out who said what.

4. Thank you very much. Considering that people are such whores anymore
I totally believed that this shit was serious. I don't frigging care what anyone says about me personally, but professionally is another matter. Especially considering some of the basket cases it has been my misfortune to have worked with (rats, ending a sentence with a preposition drives me nuts).
