1. Alt+Print Screen
That copies it to the clipboard, from which you can paste it into something like MS Paint.

2. Use the Print Screen key
This will put a copy of the entire screen into the clipboard, then open up Windows Paint (Accessories menu) or another graphics program and paste the clipboard into a new image.

4. You can always do the following for an application
press the with your left hand
then press the button with your right hand

That will copy the window in focus to your clip board

Open Word, or any application that will accept the screen capture, and paste the screen into the application

but there are some problems with that method. You might want to try a screen capture utility such as SnagIt by TechSmith, or google "screen capture software" for more options.
