| June 23rd is June Carter's birthday. |

The late June Carter (a/k/a Valerie June Carter) was born on June 23, 1929. The singer/songwriter was descended from one of country's most influential musical acts, the Carter Family, and was married to Johnny Cash in the '60s and '70s. June Carter died on May 15, 2003, at age 73.
