You're a casting director in the entertainment industry.
And you have complete authority to cast/recast any tv show or movie ever made. Let's hear your ideas, using only actors who are currently living.

Here's my pick for gag, joke, or "stunt" casting: I'm gonna put the Olsen twins in a Sopranos episode. I don't know what role they'll be playing, but they're in there!

I'm still working on ideas for recasting such classics as Casablanca, Gone With the Wind, and I Love Lucy. But what are your thoughts?

3. The cast of Seinfeld in the Andy Griffith Show
Why not? 2 shows that were really about nothing...
Jerry as Andy
Michael Richards as Barney Fife
Jason Alexander as Gomer or Floyd, can't decide
Newman as Otis
Elaine as Aunt Bea
The possibilities are endless!

4. Here's another one:
All the political pundits in a remake of The Prisoner
Al Franken as #6, Sean Hannity as #2, Weiner, Coulter, etc. as other "prisoners that are the informers. Rush as the big rubber balloon guard thing.

5. I would re-cast the X-Men movie(s) a lot
Edited on Thu Jun-24-04 08:10 PM by Bombtrack
I'd find someone else to play both Xavier and Magneto. Xavier would be someone who didn't have a british accent, but could do a intellectual/blue blood accent, maybe Billy Zane(with some subtle makeup to age him a bit. And Magneto would have to be someone alot bigger and tougher looking than Ian McKellan, who could do an eastern european accent. Also I'd cast Joe Rogan as Wolverine instead of Hugh Jackman, because Jackman is a naturally tall thin guy, and Rogan is a naturally short compact thick guy. Not to mention Jackman is an effeminate pretty boy(unlike Wolverine who called himself ugly) and Rogan is a surly wiseass.

I'd also might have Tyra Banks play Storm, and Michelle Trachtenburg play Kitty Pride, and someone else who's more of a "southern belle" type play Rogue. Oh, and I'd have an Australian play Pyro.

6. Complete Authority? Well, first we would have to somehow
put my wife in an extended state of suspension of suspicion, then I could get to work.
I am not sure whether to start with the obvious ones, or work up from unknowns. I would have to flip a coin.

Then, after, oh, six months or a year of constant abuse, me and my penis could retire again, this time forever.

23. 704 Hauser St
"Now the house is inhabited by an African-American family. The two parents are typical working-class, blue collar liberals. The son is an arch-conservative who listens to Rush Limbaugh. He also dates a Jewish girl from down the street. Only 6 episodes of this series were made."

Cast him as some corporate executive who goes to prison for fraud and ends up getting butt raped.

15. Bring back the DS9 crew!... they go back to 2004 and reveal that...
Rick Berman is a changling... hence Enterprise (and a good deal of Voyager) is declared non-canon Star Trek.

Not only am I a Trek Fan (DS9 and earlier, there was no Trek after DS9...:o ) I read comic books too!:7

heh heh...my screen name, I like the piano piece Claire de Lune by Debussy, so I just substituted my name. I think de lune means "of the moon" but I sucked at French.

Who do we get to do the music?:nopity:

20. To do the music? I say CLAY AIKEN!
Oh, wait, we're looking for something legitimate, not ironic. Never mind.

How about a bitchin' score by Basil Poledouros? Or perhaps Kraftwerk or Einsturzende Neubauten?
