First Lady Pickles explains how YOU can help get her husband re-elected
http://www.georgewbush.com/Chat/Transcript.aspx?ID=18

Caroline Kalvaitis from Hollis NH wrote:
As a busy wife and mother of three what, in your opinion, are some simple yet effective ways to help support the re-election efforts? I don't have much experience with campaign involvement and really do not know where to start.

Mrs. Laura Bush answered:
You can help by talking to your friends and neighbors about the President's accomplishments and his leadership. Tell them why you think the President deserves their vote. On July 15th, you can host or attend a Party for the President, which is a simple, volunteer event that brings together friends and neighbors who support the President. To sign up to host your party and join this nationwide event, visit the Bush Cheney website at www.GeorgeWBush.com/Party/. The purpose of the Party is to spread the President's positive message, recruit volunteers and energize our nationwide team of grassroots supporters. I'll be calling into the Party that night. President Bush and I appreciate the help and support of every volunteer, and we'd appreciate your help, Caroline. Thank you.

2. Well, if you can bring your frenid, you KNOW it's gonna rock...
In some ways, I'm gonna MISS Bush after November.

Not MANY ways, mind you...

Which brings us to the next obvious question, what kind of "fun" does Jonathan have in mind? I'm guessin' it's Hawaiian Punch and Nestle Toll House cookies baked by his mom.

5. No, M-I-S-U-D-E-R-E-S-T-I-M-A-T-E-D....
...you can ONLY win a George W. Bush re-election party spelling bee by correctly spelling words which do not exist...

6. I've thought too that once Bush is gone, we'll miss the unending supply
of comic material.
Actually, the outrage will be missed on a certain level too--people love having outrages to talk about.

and the House and the senate and the Supreme Court.

13. What kind of party can you have between 4:30PM and 5:30PM?
Now, a Kerry party would be different.

It would be at the proper party time, which is 10:30PM until about four in the morning.

It would be at the proper party place, which is a house with a big deck.

It would be in the proper party attire--khakis and nice shirts. (I hate the term "dressy casual"--do you lean to the dressy or the casual? Look, folks, if you mean "polos and khakis" say so. If you mean "suits" say that too.)

It would be with the proper party beverages--they will sell you a whole barrel of Jack Daniel Single Barrel for about nine thousand dollars. We'd need one of those. (Unfortunately, when you buy one they take the whiskey out of the barrel and put it in bottles. For our purposes, we need the full barrel--"this party's not over until either Bush's maladministration or this barrel is finished.")

It would be with the proper party snacks--big racks of ribs, chicken wings, tofu for the vegetarians, plenty of different salads and fruits.

It would be with the proper party music--live rock with the Big Dog on sax, Kerry on bass, and an assortment of liberal luminaries on the keys, guitar, drums and vocals.

Now that's a party!

10. On a different note; YOU GUYS ARE A FREAKING COPYCAT!!!
Edited on Thu Jun-24-04 03:24 PM by LynneSin
Think about it, Howard Dean was doing this back in 2003.

:eyes:

And on an edit note: If this is grassroots, why does it cost $150 for me to attend the other block party in my zip code of 19805.
