Has anybody heard/read bout perchlorate in milk?
I've been hearing they've found perchlorate in milk, which is an element from rocket fuel. And wondered if anybody else had heard that, and if so, what did they think about it?

4. If you haven't considered using soy milk yet, please do!
Yes, it doesn't taste QUITE the same and it may take a little getting used to, but I've been using soy milk for a number of years now and I love it. I used to buy the flavored kinds (vanilla, chocolate and even strawberry) but I switched to the organic unsweetened kind to cut my sugar intake. It's just great in cereal and cooking, and not that bad straight out of the carton ice cold. Compare the health benefits and it's very easy to justify paying just a little more for the soy product ($1.19 a quart for the organic, unsweetened soy milk vs. what... $3.00 to $4.00 a gallon for dairy milk).

6. Soy milk sounds like a good alternative
to milk, but what would you think about organic yogurt ? I guess it would depend where the milk came from, but I eat a whole lot of yogurt.

7. Hmm... good question.
I buy regular yogurt from Trader Joe's once in a great while because my wife and the cats seriously love it. I've never had a problem with it but it might be worthwhile to look for organic yogurt in a health food store. My thing for sweets has been soy ice cream, specifically a brand called Soy Delicious. They have three flavors I'm totally gaga over. Mint fudge, chocolate peanut butter, and neapolitan.

Here's their website:
