Anyone remember "Yankee Doodle Dandy" hamburger joints?

There was a chain around the Chicago area known as "Yankee Doodle Dandy." I liked it a lot when I was a kid. There was one in LaGrange and one in Elmhurst. There were others.

Does anyone else remember these joints? Are there any left? Were there any outside of Chicagoland?

That was my favorite fast-food place as a kid.

2. Remember "Chutes"?

Certainly the dumbest restaurant idea ever. It was like a drive thru bank teller that used pipes and compressed air to deliver your crappy food. I think it lasted about 6 months.

loved both of these as a kid.
