Did Elvis save the Beaches?

Rumours of 'nice' dog's potential heroics has quiet neighbourhood all shook up

By ERIN CONWAY-SMITH
With reports from Jeff Gray and Jonathan Fowlie

It's as debatable as the continuing existence of the man himself: Did Elvis save Toronto?

A Border collie named after the gyrating King of Rock 'n' Roll was one dog named yesterday as residents of the Beaches tried to determine the identity of the "nice dog" that ran up to James Paul Stanson, reportedly convincing him to turn himself in, along with his cache of weapons and ammunition.

1. The radio reports I heard in the truck
talked about Stanson meeting a Frisbee dog. A border Collie would certainly fir the bill. The interview on CBC with the cop was interesting too. Police see everything, yet this guy had a bemused tone to his voice which seems to indicate he had never seen, or heard of, anything like this.

3. It doesn't even need to be a little animal,
I have had the worst week, for no real reason.

I went out yesterday to inspect the Shriner's Circus. I spent far too much time with the elephants. They turned my week around.
