neat utility for finding cd key

go to google and type in kf141 and unzip the file - voila! then press find cd key and up comes your windows cd key.

Okay, I use Linux so I can't verify that... I'd just be wary of any such utility.

2. Or you could just open regedit

by clicking 'Run' on the start menu and typing regedit.

Then in the left pane expand the folders pointing to

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE
Software
Microsoft
Windows

and then clicking on the CurrentVersion folder.

On the right you will see an item called 'ProductKey' which is the Product Key on the license attached to your Windows CD case or manual or sometimes on a sticker ont he side of the machine.
