Are there customs inspectors at Eurorail stations? Is it a really bad idea
to take "leftovers" from the Netherlands to other countries over the trains?

I know the obligitory yes will come from anti-drug people. But I was wondering if anybody who has traveled Europe over the trains knows first hand the situation and bredth of inspections.

There are inspectors, trained to catch traveling youths with dope. They don't check at the border anymore, they can just control anywhere on suspicion (in the trains).

In trains it is generally pretty harmless, unlike cars. Most EU countries allow(ignore) people to posses minor quantities - better check the local laws beforehand.

I don't have any first hand experience, the only things I regularly buy in the Netherlands are Peanut Butter, Chocolate flakes and Advocaat. (really!)

Edit: it is probably a lot less dangerous to buy locally, than trying to get anything over a border.

3. Don't do it. Really, don't it do it.
it's probably safer to acqurie those selfsame goods--chocolates, etc.--in other countries than bring them in from holland

4. ok, do you know what other countries it's easiest in?
I don't know the exact route I'm doing yet. There are some I'm definetly going to, but others I'm unsure about, such as Sweden, Denmark, Austria and Hungary.
