5. Don't bother
Unless you just enjoy seeing a room full of Democrats finally watching the truth being revealed in an emotionally charged manner.

I still can't shake the image of Lila Lipscomb being told she was faking.

6. There are lots of things I won't be able to shake.
The image of that cold woman telling Mrs. Lipscomb she was faking is but one.

9. Most of them involve Lila, for me.
Her admission that she thought she understood, but she didn't really...

Most of the movie to me felt like confirmation of what I'd been telling people all along. But watching her unable to deal with her grief, and then comparing that to the woman in Iraq whose uncle's house had just been bombed...

Damn...

10. That was more difficult to watch than some of the physical injuries.
The pain in that woman's (the one who's uncle's house had been bombed) voice was heart-breaking.

12. yes. It was that scene that made me realize that.....
Lila is a much stronger woman than I am. I would have beat the shit out that woman. Filled with grief, loss, confusion, and anger and then having some strange bitch telling ME that I'm faking it and it's all "staged"??? I would probably snap and go nuts.

I hope that woman sees the movie and hears Lila's story and I hope she goes to bed that night with the words of Lila's son in that letter ringing in her ears.

I'm going to have to drive an hour into the Skagit Valley this week to catch it. I guess that all the big money and influence HERE belongs to repugs. x(

11. My mother said only one place in all of Mississippi is showing it
According to Moore's web page, the only place listed in Mississippi showing it was Tupelo. She lives on the Coast. She is planning to come to Austin to see me, and she called specifically to tell me to make time for her to see the film.

This woman voted for Reagan twice, though she also voted for Clinton.

I have a feeling this film will wind up in more places than they expect.
