2. YEAH!
I hope it has tha additional Mongo scenes, in which Bart tries to kill him with a mechanical cowboy, and by tricking him into deep sea diving...

I saw Blazing Saddles on network TV once, and it had those extra scenes. I guess they were to replace all the scenes which had to be cut for network audiences...

3. More beans, Mr. Taggart?
Goddamn, the 14 year-old in me never fails to dissolve laughing when watching this film. I often hail it as his best, alongside "Young Frankenstein". The genuine chemistry between Gene Wilder and Cleavon Little adds a human dimension atypical of Brooks's work. Could be because Richard Pryor co-wrote it, too.

4. I love that movie!
Edited on Sat Jun-26-04 11:54 PM by TheWizardOfMudd
I've often pondered why nobody ever got upset with the constant use of the "N" word in the picture. I finally decided that, in the context of the movie, the people using the word were the idiots in the plot. Beautiful!

"Where's all the white women at?" LMAO!!!!!!!!!

5. Best lines ever:
"Bart, I'm so happy to see you...they told me you was hung"

"And they was right!"

7. Right

Brooks makes it clear that the people who say that are either ignorant, or idiots. The Waco Kid, (One of the few smart white people) never says it. Neither does Lili Von Schtupp ("So tell me, is it twue how you people are gifted"?) The townspeople, in the words of The Waco Kid:

What did you expect? "Welcome sonny," "Make yourself at home," "Marry my daughter." You've got to remember, that these are just simple farmers, these are people of the land, the common clay of the new west. You know . . . morons.

9. Archie Bunker !!!

Yep, all the nigger mouthing folks were dummies. When they got smart, they stopped calling the sherriff nigger.

We only have THREE niggers left in America. Clarence Thomas, Colin Powell and Condeleeza Rice.

BTW, did anyone else notice during Fahrenheit 9/11 that they seemed to be "lightening" Powell's face during makeup. I thought they were trying to make him look more "white".
