President Kerry's First Whitehouse News Conference.
Ladies and Gentlemen of the press, The President of the United States.

President Kerry: Thank You ladies and Gentlemen if you would hold your questions for a few moments there's some minor business to take care of first.

If you would, Please, Terry (Moran) and every one to your left, move down one chair to your left.

( Terry and the others do as asked leaving an empty chair down front in the middle.)

President Kerry : Thank You, now Helen (Thomas) could you please come down front and take this empty seat.

( Helen makes her way down front and sits down beside Terry. )

President Kerry : Ok is every one ready now ?

( Nods of agreement from the press along with several saying
" Yes Mr. President ".

President Kerry : Fine now, Helen Your question ?

Helen : Yes Mr. President, why are the news people from FAUX and NewsCorp. missing from this news conference this morning ?

President Kerry : Helen, let me answer that by informing all of you that this morning I signed an executive order reinstateing
the Fairness Doctrines and Truth in media findings.

This should result in the American people beginning to find out the truth about what has been going on the past few years.
In keeping with this return to thoughtful fact based reporting it has been decided that during the next four years the Whitehouse Press Conferences will be limited in attendence to include only Journalists.
I leave you to draw your own conclusions about the connection this has to any missing members of the press not present here today.

3. will be held on the whitehouse lawn.
President Kerry:

Thank you for joining me on this beautiful day. The center for disease control has assured me that it will be safe to move into the press conference room by winter. Four years of slime and spittle are very difficult to dig out of the upholstery.

:)

4. This would be a wonderful gesture
I have often thought that Kerry should, before his first press conference begins, to personally escort Ms. Thomas to her rightful seat.

However, I have some problems with the President deciding who is and is not a journalist (or Journalist). There are other ways that can be found to snub Fox and NewsCorp.

7. President Kerry's answer to Jack Rabbit's problem Journalist definition
Replying to a question from Jack Rabbit at DU

President Kerry: I have been asked a follow up to the opening statement about the definition of Journalists.

As basis for the decision to exclude FAUX/Newscorp and strip them of their press credentials I ask people to direct their attention to information posted at one of the better more progressive websites on the internet, " The Democratic Underground ". This link was posted by HEyHEY and was to an article orginally published in the Vancouver Sun.
The article explains the dismissal of a court case involving newscorp. being accused of publishing information in violation of Canadian Laws. newscorp. was able to get this dismissal by showing that the information that they had gotten in trouble for was in fact false therefore making the case that their obvious violation of the law was a moot point in oweing to the fact that the information in question was know to them to be False.

Now Ladies and Gentlemen I'am not sure what you call someone that is found not guilty of a violation of Law by admitting they were lying, but Journalist is not one of the terms that comes to mind.

9. If you PM< HEyHEY yuo might get some help...
onlt read thru the article once and it was a little complicayed but HEyHEY was pretty familiar with it. Basically in Canada there are some laws governing certain information or about or from certain people.
Faux violated the law by publishing this restricted material.
When the case got to a Judge Faux got off because they admitted the indormation was made up/false and the judge decide3d that cince the information published was false they gad technicallt not published any information that would fall under the law that they were being charged with breaking. Does that make sense ? It is sort of a reverse catch 22. It seems like it took place in a Vancouver court and HEyHEY probably knows the offucal that was the object of the false info, but after several googles moof does not have enough to het to a different link about the event.

sorry for typos but this is way more time than moof is ever willing to devote to anything that involves farx.
