4. Dancing and Mountain Biking
Edited on Sun Jun-27-04 01:23 PM by AndyTiedye
Exercise should be esthetically pleasing.
It does not need to be competitive.

Dancing is very good exercise, yet people don't tend to think of it
as a form of exercise, probably because it is too much fun, and
it violates the rule that all exercise must be competitive.

Where did the "nasty medicine" theory of exercise come from anyway?
The idea that exercise should be dull and boring and must be done
at some obscenely early hour? That the only enjoyment of exercise
must come from competition?:puke:

This may work for the jocks, but it makes almost everyone else into
couch-potatoes.:boring:

My other favorite is mountain biking, largely because we have so many
very nice trails here. I'll be heading that way as soon as I finish
digesting brunch. Dancing was last night.:bounce::bounce:

9. I agree, Andy

If anything, at least a little music and dance can wake you up and put you in good mood to do more "serious" exercise.

I'm more of a road-biker, but otherwise we've got the same attitude, it seems. :-)
