Interesting preview at F911 today
Did anyone see the preview for the movie Silver City (I think that is what it was called) It's got Chris Cooper playing a dim witted candidate for governor who thinks that hes a cowboy and has powerful and corrupt handlers? (Sound familiar to anyone?) anyway it looks decent and I think I might have to check it out when is comes out.

Also at my 1:30 showing of F911, the theater was more than half full (in the biggest theater) and there was a pretty large round of applause when the movie ended...It was definitely a great movie. None of the information came as a surprise to me, but I dragged my dad to go and see it(A Bush apologist that claims that he is a staunch independent) and since we have engaged in some lively debate about the movie and other political things. So I think that F911 has done what it was supposed to do (in my house at least) which is to get people talking.

1. There is tantalizingly little info about Silver City on IMDB.
Chris Cooper looks brilliant in that part. From American Beauty to Adaptation, Cooper is my latest nominee for Is-There-Nothing-He-Can't-Do Actor.

Good (if obvious) marketing move to put that trailer in front of F9/11.

3. Written and directed by the brilliant John Sayles.

See this movie, it will be powerful.

Also, shot in Denver.

4. I was going to ask if it was a John Sayles film.
Chris Cooper was excellent in Sayles' "Lone Star," which was a great film; if you haven't seen it, you should check it out. I'll definitely have to see this new one; I love Sayles' films.
