is part of the New Madrid fault, which we keep hearing is going to go 'any time now' and unleash some level of destruction to about eight states. It's in Missouri and runs somewhere near the Mississippi -- the last time there was a major New Madrid jump, it actually changed the course of the Mississippi river, or so I think I remember reading. We've felt temblors from it as far east as northern Kentucky/southern Ohio, so it may well do some damage if it shrugs any time soon.

I was doing my homework very late at night on my bed and there was an earthquake rumble and it shook the books off my bed; I kid you not.
