Just don't ask anything that takes too much time ... it's tough going from 55WPM on Sholes to 5 WPM on Dvorak!

1. That's great!

If you're going to be typing for the rest of your life, you might as well use the best keyboard layout. About 10% of the workout for the fingers as the regular Querty. You'll never go back, once you get used to it.

But dvorak is fabulous otherwise.

3. I'm in Newbie HELL!

I'm used to typing at a high rate of speed, about ten times as fast as I am right now -- my fingers feel as though they've been re-wired from the inside. Reaching for the punctuation keys is the worst!

But even now, I can feel that my fingers are traveling much less, and my wrists are almost stationary. The only difficulty is in my brain, which is much less powerful than I previously thought!
